New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Gemini

Let us be aware that the Sun will enter Gemini at 8:16 am on May 20th and then there will be a annual Solar Eclipse on Sunday May 20 at 4:47pm PDT and 7:47pm EDT in 1 degrees of Gemini. All Solar eclipses are intense and powered New Moons, releasing new creative and spiritual energies. The effects of solar eclipse tend to last 6 months to a year after the actual eclipse. In your birth chart, you may feel the eclipse's effects most intensely in the house that's ruled by Gemini for this solar eclipse. This Solar Eclipse at 1 degree of Gemini will strongly influence people who have any planets (especially the Sun, Moon or the angle of your birth chart) between 26 degrees of Taurus and 4 degrees of Gemini or between 26 degrees of Scorpio and 4 degrees of Sagittarius. This is a very powerful time of change for the entire world and especially the areas on the earth that the eclipse shadow passes over especially Tokyo, Japan and Western California
The Eclipse begins at 4:30pm and lasts until about 7pm and will be a South Node Eclipse, having to do with our past. The Sun and Moon are within 2 degrees of the Pleiades constellation which serves as a linking back with our ancient ancestral memories of our starry ancestral origins. Eclipses have a Uranus quality - expect sudden changes, unpredictable events, moments of fated or karmic events. People may overreact, are overly emotional, tense, and are often controlling because of feelings of powerlessness with the Solar Eclipses. Eclipses can also bring important contacts into your life or take people out of your life that are not good for you.
When there is a New Moon this means the Moon is in a waxing phase of her cycles and this is usually the best time to start new projects but with Venus retrograde it is best to rethink our values in relationships and financial matters. This is not the time to introduce new products, start new companies, or even start new relationships. It is fine to improve and review our existing projects and ideas with Venus retrograde in Gemini. This is a good time to refinance a loan or shop for antiques. In the area of relationships, an old lover or friend may show up. It’s also common for separations and divorces to be announced during Venus retrograde. The Venus in retrograde started May 15th and continues until June 27th so it is a beneficial time to rethink what we value about ourselves and oin our lives.
