Time for Gratitude and Forgiveness

            Astrology is more than cycles, transits and predictions. I have been blending astrology with mythology for many years. I was doing some research for my poem “One the beat road, with “The Goddess Within”: A Guide to the Eternal Myths that Shape Women's Lives.  I opened the book spontaneously to the Persephone myth. Understanding the Demeter and Persephone myth has given my life a deeper understanding of who I am.  I recommend this book to women who have the Sun Moon or rising sign (planets in the 4, 8 or 12 house) in Virgo, Pisces, Taurus or Scorpio. Also it would be wise for the signs Virgo, Pisces, Taurus or Scorpio to take a close look at the Solar Eclipse that was just in Scorpio on November 13 is at 21º Scorpio.

The Astrological Sky for November

            The astrological sky for November continues with Mercury in retrograde, meaning it appears to be moving backwards, from November 6^th through 26^th. Mercury retrogrades have challenges related to delays, miscommunications, finding and making mistakes, then having to fix them. During Mercury retrograde is NOT the time to sign contracts. Even if you’ve eliminated all the mistakes in it, you may misunderstand a key provision or regret signing it later when you have a better understanding of your needs. Mercury retrograde is a time to rethink our needs, catch-up or finish things, not a time to move forward with new projects.

            When Mercury is retrograde it can gives us time to slow down and learn something we have wanted to delve into especially with Mercury in Scorpio. Mercury will go direct on Nov 27 and be in Scorpio until Dec 10^th, when Mercury will return to Sagittarius. On Dec 5 the retrograde cycle will be over and we can to notice more easily and open communications and the flow of ideas will begin to get better. It is important to not believe all of what people say or promise will the hot air of Mercury in Sagittarius.

            The Mercury retrograde periods also can give us the time, during the Thanksgiving holidays to reconnect with friends and family we haven’t seen in a long time and heal any miscommunications we have with our families or friends. The cosmic key is to open our hearts to forgive and have gratitude for our families and friends.

            We’re also still in range of the cycle of Mercury square Neptune. This cycle is associated with confusion, chaos, and misunderstandings. So be extra careful to clarify your communications. This cycle of Mercury square Neptune is with us for a long time. It peaked for the second time on November 13^th. It temporarily goes out of range on Sunday November 18^th, but it will be back again in December.
 
            Next, beginning yesterday, November 15^th, a cycle related to volatile or explosive energies came into range. This cycle is Mars square Uranus. This is a heads-up for safety and driving issues, particularly since it peaks the day after Thanksgiving on November 23^rd. This gets especially challenging for accidents on November 21 – 24^th when Mercury gets into the mix and makes both communications and travel much more difficult. Mars square Uranus stays in range through December 1^st.   
              As Mars moved into Capricorn on November 17^th, another cycle comes in range. This cycle is Mars conjunct Pluto. This cycle is ideally used to transform our motivations and actions, giving us more energy to accomplish our goals. It is important to get extra exercise during this transit to avoid the negative emotions of anger or violent actions... Mars conjunct Pluto peaks November 27^th and stays in range through December 6^th.
 
            These can be very challenging energies, so we’re quite fortunate to have a third cycle, which is Mars sextile Neptune, peaking during this time. This cycle is associated with taking spiritually-motivated actions. It can also water down the energy to move forward in a volatile or explosive way.  Mars sextile Neptune peaks tomorrow on November 17^th and stays in range through November 20^th. Since this cycle is over before the intense and possibly explosive Mars conjunct Pluto cycle peaks, we’re fortunate to get a fourth cycle to help with these energies.
 
            This additional 4^th cycle, which is Mars sextile Saturn, will help rein in the explosive tendencies. People may get angry, but become less volatile when they do. This cycle is very strategically oriented. It wants to take actions with a plan in place. Wasting energy in anger is not part of its plan. This cycle comes in range on November 19^th, peaks on November 24^th and stays in range through November 29^th.
 
            On 28 November 2012, there will be a penumbral lunar eclipse at 7º of Sagittarius and Gemini, affecting people born with the Sun, Moon,  personal planets and Angles of their birth charts  between 2 to 12 degrees of the Mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.  A Lunar Eclipse results from the Earth coming directly between the Sun and Moon. The Moon loses its reflected light from the Sun as the Earth interrupts it. Often the Moon appears to turn dark red while in the Earth’s shadow.

            This Lunar Eclipse occurs with intense line-up of planetary aspects that signal emotional and energetic challenges. This Full Moon is square Neptune and Chiron, with the Moon in conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini. There will be the urge to over expand with all this hot air from Sagittarius and Gemini with dreams that are not realistic or practical. It would be better to do some soul searching for what would be best for your highest good.

            Eclipses are often labeled as undesirable because they sometimes appear to provoke a crisis, but they are really a gift from the cosmos, showing where a more healthy state of affairs will evolve.

Let’s Fall Up 

 

I am playing caught up since my traveling to California in September to read my poems at the 1000 Poets for Change on September 29^th at the Beat Museum in San Francisco. I was born in the bay area and started to read my poems at the US Café on Haight St in the early 70’s. This was a wonderful experience for me to come full circle and read at the Beat Museum and see my reading of “On the Beat Road “at the Beat Museum on my new You-tube channel on my website http://www.marcymoonstar.com/

Now back to understanding and using the astrological cycles for better timing in our business and your life. Fall is the time of the year when the signs Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius energies are being emphasized. The Sign Libra, we focus on bringing harmony, peace and balance into our lives. The Sun in Scorpio, bringing us the awareness of our deep feelings and the deeper mysteries of life, and with the Sun in Sagittarius from we need to communion with our families, friends and community, and take a closer look at our religious and philosophical beliefs.

There was a New Moon on Monday, October 15^th. This New Moon has a very strong message about having the opportunity to make breakthroughs in our lives with Mars trine Uranus.  Under these energies, you might decide to take some radical or unusual actions. Check out where the New Moon is in your birth chart, will give you information as to where to focus your energies for the fall months ahead.

Mercury entered Scorpio on Oct 5^th until Oct 28.^th. This will bring a tendency and the opportunity experience deeper interactions and communication with the people or you could be more secretive and private in your interpersonal relationships. It is a good time to study the occult or business, especially the real estate market.

On Thursday, October 18^th Mercury will be in what is called in the Shadow area. This is the place Mercury will be retracing when it moves backwards November 6^th – 26^th. So on October 18^th, Mercury begins to Slow Down and it becomes important to double check all details in your e-mails, letters, blogs, and website updates. Now the time to get your car checked and to get a full-system back-up done for your computers before Nov 6 when Mercury goes retrograde.

Also with Mercury in Sagittarius square Neptune between Nov 1-13 th., it would be best to be realistic and not have high expectations with this transit in business transactions.  This is a good time to be clear with your communications in your personal and business dealings. It would be best at this time to not believe everything people are saying at this time with Mercury in big ideas Sagittarius. This cycle of Mercury square Neptune is with us for a long time. It begins on October 23, peaks the first time on October 29^th and peaks a second time on November 13^th. It temporarily goes out of range on November 18^th, and comes back into range on December 6^th. It peaks for the third and last time on December 11^th. It finally goes out of range on December 15^th.

On October 5^th, we had a major astrological shift occurring in the heavens Saturn moved into the sign of Scorpio until the end of 2014. Now this is significant, because Saturn only changes signs once every two-and-a-half years and returns to the same sign every 29 years. We learn our most important lessons where Saturn is placed in our astrology charts and where it is by transit in the heavens. Saturn in Scorpio will ask that we confront our judgments, expectations, and conventions in the areas of sex, intimacy, and shared finances. In the time Saturn will be in Scorpio, we have the opportunity for going deep, sharing what's in our heart and soul, in supportive healing groups.

Saturn’s transit through Scorpio, suggests that each individual and group will have to become responsible for addressing and clearing out their personal “underworld.” One must take responsibility for one’s choices, actions and behavior before transformation can occur. It is important for us to have Saturn as our friend rather than our foe. On the physical level it is good time to let go of the clutter in our closets, drawers, basements and our offices. When we do these we will be more open to having new opportunities show up in our lives.

The signs that will be most influenced by Saturn’s Transit through Scorpio are the fixed signs: Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, Aquarius and the water signs: Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer.

We will have Full Moon on Monday, October 29^th, with the emphasis on Venus opposite Uranus and square Pluto.  These astrological aspects with Venus can indicate unexpected relationship issues and sudden and passionate love affairs that do not last. These cycles come in range in October 28^th, peak on November 1^st and 3^rd, and stay in range through November 7^th and 9.^th  

On Monday October 29^th at 12:49 pm PDT there will be Full Moon with the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Taurus. This Full Moon there will be a strong urge with the Sun and Moon in strong aspect to Saturn to manifest your goals and aspirations in October and November especially if you have planets or the major angles ( 1, 4 7 or 10^th ) of your chart in Scorpio or Taurus.

At this particular Full Moon there will be an emphasis on Venus opposite Uranus and square Pluto. These astrological aspects with Venus can indicate unexpected relationship issues and sudden and passionate love affairs that do not last. These cycles come in range in October 28^th, peak on November 1^st and 3^rd, and stay in range through November 7^th and 9.^th  

This Full Moon also show us we may want to do too much with too little time, money or energy. To be successful stay focused on your most important project until you complete it. This is essential to your success. Don’t take on new projects until your current one is complete. This is the cycle of Mars opposite Jupiter, which peaks the day before on October 28^th. It stays in range through November 5^th.

We already had September New Moon in Virgo, on September 15^th at 7:11 pm.

After we set our intentions for our new projects, within a couple of days of the New Moon it is the best astrological timing to begin your new projects each month, especially with the Moon in Libra. This is a great month with the Sun in Virgo and Libra to begin to develop your team of supporters in your life and your business. And do not forget to have some romantic fun with Venus square Mars. This aspect will be especially strong between September 22-October 1 with Venus in Leo and Mars in Scorpio. (Wow that will be a hot and romantic time)

 The good news about our New Moon tomorrow is that there are unexpected potentials to make money. This is shown by the cycle of Venus trine Uranus,

This is a great cycle for making money unexpectedly from new technologies like the internet. It is time to change your websites and do some new website promotions and advertizing.  These cycles are part of the New Moon their impact will be with us for two weeks. However they are strongest now through September 18^th. In addition, we have another money cycle that comes into range on September 18^th, Venus sextile Jupiter. This cycle allows you to expand your income or wealth. Or you may choose to spend money on something you want, but probably don’t need. That usually means we’re having some fun! Venus sextile Jupiter peaks on September 20^th and stays in range through most of September 23^rd. I will be in San Francisco reading my poetry at the Beat Museum for the 1000 Poets for Change on Sept 29 at 3pm.

Next, two more cycles come in range on September 16^th. These cycles are Mercury square Pluto and Mercury opposite Uranus. These cycles are also associated with accidents and even fatal or near-fatal accidents. So this is a time to be extra cautious in driving. Accidents from these cycles are typically caused by not seeing someone, or someone making unexpected moves. Be sure to use your turn signals and keep your eyes open for people who may make sudden moves. This is no time to be talking on your cell phone when driving.  These cycles stay in range through September 24^th.  So be extra careful from September 16^th through the 24^th of this month.

Let’s not forget the Autumn Equinox on Sept 22 at 7:49 am Pacific Time and 10:49 am Eastern Time. It is time to enjoy the fall colors, drink apple cider and

prepare for the Harvest full Moon on September 29^th at  8:19 Pacific Time and 11:19 am Eastern Time. It will be a powerful and intense One.

When the Moon is new both the Sun and Moon energies are aligned in the same astrological sign.  It’s is a time of beginnings and endings when a powerful portal is opened. New Moons are a great time to set intentions for things you would like to create, develop, and cultivate. It’s a time of planting new seeds; whether seeds of reality or creative imagination, both the moon and the sun support your desires during a new moon. The planetary alignment in the New Moon chart are supportive with a sextile to Mars conjunct Saturn in Libra, the sign of its exaltation bringing a good time to start new business venture or creative projects I also like that the New Moon opposing Neptune.  This will bring the opportunity for creative inspiration and the faith to follow what our hearts wants as we walk the labyrinth of our lives, knowing we will end up precisely where we’re meant to be even if there are challenges up ahead.
We are still in the difficult Mars conjunct Saturn in late Libra cycle that is associated with frustration when we start new projects. It peaks on August 15 ^th and stays in range through August 27^th. It would be wise to use this time to make a written business plan that is detail oriented with names of people to call, place to be, what time, and what needs to be accomplished every day.

The New Moon is an introspective and spontaneous time to indulge your creative self-expression with this New Moon in Leo and see where it takes you. It is a great time to just go with the flow especially with the hot summer days and nights.

Check out the The Perseid Meteor Shower is an annual event associated with comet Swift-Tuttle
and can produce 100 meteors per hour. meteors appear to emanate from the constellation Perseus. The event is visible from July through August but peaks around Aug 9th to Aug 14th.

Astrological forecasts are based on the movement of the planets in the sky and their interaction with your astrology birth-chart. This movement of the planets in the sky is called the transits. I like to say the transits show the astrological weather for a given time period.

July started with the Moon in expansive Sagittarius. I was at the Fremont Market with an enjoyable booth partner Levana who makes clothes and dolls for children and her playful daughter.

Since I didn’t have time to write about our Full Moon last week, I want to tell you about it now.  We had a Full Moon this past Tuesday on July 3^rd. The Sun was in Cancer and the Moon was in Capricorn. Tuesday morning the Moon in Capricorn conjuncts Pluto. This focus on Pluto and the Moon brings an emotional depth to the Full Moon. This Full Moon can bring emotional insights and your intuition will be strong also. Look to the houses in your chart where the Sun and Moon fall. This will show the areas of your life where the Full Moon energies are concentrated.

July 5^th was the best date for new start and a great day for making money with the Moon in Aquarius and in opposition to Mercury. I was at the First Thursday Pioneer Street Art Walk. I had a great time and even reading “Birth Yourself” a art Galley in Pioneer Square. I also meet many interesting artists including Andrew Buckles from the TK building http://tklofts.com/

If you had an important new start or a fortunate action you want to take, it last weekend, on Saturday July 7^th Sunday afternoon on July 8^th, we had some great energy for taking fortunate actions with the cycle of Mars trine Jupiter, from when Jupiter peaks on July 17^th and stays in range through August 3^rd

The Last Quarter Moon with the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Aries on Tuesday July 10^th at 6:48 pm giving us the opportunity to let go of what is not working in our bodies, minds and souls. And this also was influencing Monday but on Wednesday the Moon will enter grounded, sensuous and practical Taurus. It is a great time to get out in nature and breathe the sweet smells of summer.

On July 15^th Mercury goes retrograde. This is not the best time for starting new projects. After Saturday July 7^th and Sunday July 8^th we won't get another good new start day until August 8th, when Mercury turns direct.  We are within about 8 days of Mercury going retrograde, when it appears to move backwards. So this means we need to SLOW DOWN and double-check all details in your written material and especially your important emails.

The New Moon takes place in the evening on June 18th at 27 degrees Cancer.  The Sun and Moon square Saturn in Libra.  This creates a serious but most likely, supportive situation, thanks to fact that Saturn is direct and exalted in Libra.  Look for social connection between your family, friends, and Libra-ruled things like partners; romantic or business could be involved. To take advantage of the New Moon, set an intention around defining (Saturn) your approach to security (Cancer) using Libran principles. Things like fairness, reciprocity and good manners.

Also take a look at where the New Moon fall in your chart?  And ask yourself the question how I can see new ways to increase my security by supporting others and also getting my needs meet.

       It is interesting to know that Venus went direct Wednesday, June 27 at 7 degrees Gemini and is moving forward very slowly and it will take until July 31st for Venus to move fully out of the retrograde cycle.

      
       We  are now in the shadow phase of the Venus retrograde cycle. This will be challenging but there is potential for healing and understanding in our relationships and our relationship to love and what we want in our life. When it turns direct it again travels over the same section of the zodiac from 7 degrees to 24 degrees of Gemini.  What this means is that there is tendency for us to need to go over the issues again that occurred when Venus went retrograde on May 15^th

        It is also possible that during the shadow phase of the Venus retrograde cycle we can direct our communicating to deeper place by sharing what we truly want to have in our relationships. With Venus in Gemini, you may want to talk and work out any of the difficulties you have been having in your relationships. Therefore it is important to be objective and learn to see others’ points of view.

To understand this we can look at where Venus is placed in our charts. This will indicate our relationship styles and what we want in our partnerships.

         During a retrograde phase, we journey inwards to reflect, revise and review. With Venus retrograde we have been reflecting on our current and possibly past relationships. You have also have considered your self-worth, accepted and affirmed your unconditional love for yourself.  And you have also reviewed, examined and re-connected to those values that are true and lasting for you, the very values that make life meaningful to you.

It is time to accept and affirm:

I am valuable because I am valued. I am loveable because I am love

        Also on Monday, June 25^th, Saturn “the lord of the rings “became direct and it is time to make real your reality.  It’s been retrograde or moving backwards since February 7^th. Saturn retrograde is a time when we rethink our plans and projects. Now that Saturn is moving forward again, we can also move forward with whatever new plans and projects that we may have created during this period.

During the period when Saturn is transiting retrograde, it is essential that we go back and reassess projects started and responsibilities undertaken in the past. Saturn turning retrograde gives us the opportunity to go back and reorganize or renegotiate any activities or commitments that seem to be a source of frustration.

With Saturn moving forward, it’s easier to see what needs to be done and how to do it.

During the past five months, it may have felt as if life, relationships, career, and financial growth had been moving at the speed of a turtle. This was a time for learning lessons of hard work and discipline. If we persisted with determination, despite hardships, by becoming our on master and rebuilding foundation, then we will finally begin to pay off in the weeks and months ahead.
With Saturn still in Libra, if you want to change your experience of relationship, the key is to realize that you must change your patterning which will change all your existing relationships as well as lead to new growth and opportunities in your relationships.
Your growth in self-understanding can only become real through a balanced, affirmed and wise relationship to Spirit will bring you a greater realization of yourself as being part of something greater.

This combination is also exceptional for introducing new or unusual ideas.  New Moon: 29 Degrees of Gemini 

According to astrologers, the last degree of a sign is a ‘karmic’ degree

     WE are in the Sign of Cancer: The personal feeling sign. This can give us the opportunity to slow down be receptive, intuitive, nurture ourselves, and be with family and friends.

     I woke up this morning contemplate the concept of Astrology study of cycle. Then the metaphor of bicycles came into my mind. Cycles, cycles, cycles: Astrology is like riding a bicycle.  Life is about change and movement. Sometimes we even come back to the same issue and we need tissues and support. The sign Cancer is about integrating what we learning in Gemini.

It is important to look at the location of where The New Moon on June 19^th at the 28- 29 degree Gemini  falls in your personal chart and any aspect contacts to that degree or to Mercury's position of 21 degrees of Cancer will allow you to see how you can personally direct the energy in your own life.  With this second New Moon in Gemini this year, we have a Mercury theme again. Mercury shares a mutual reception with the Moon which disposits all planets except for Neptune, Mercury's

position is in a dynamic aspect to Saturn, so structure and responsibility will be a part of that picture. The New Moon is also in a positive aspect with Neptune and Saturn. Not the time for making quick decisions, but rather it is a healing time to go within and find inner peace and clarity.
It is interesting to note that this New Moon is special because it lands on the degree that astrologers consider anaretic.  According to astrologers, the last degree of a sign is a ‘karmic’ degree and represents the culmination of the signs energy.  In this case, the lesson involves the sign of Gemini which involves communication, how we learn, and how we make use of the knowledge we acquire.  In addition, since this is the 2^nd New Moon in Gemini we are granted a second chance to go back to the past and correct anything we may have missed at the solar eclipse.   Once again the New Moon aspects the planet Neptune, yet this aspect is a favorable aspect rather than an unfavorable one.  Rather than our seeking externals to make us feel better about ourselves we can use the aspect in a creative way by tapping into our own spiritual core. 

June 20 the Sun enters Cancer, at precisely 4:09 p.m. PDT known as summer solstice. This is a time of celebration, officially bringing us out of hibernation. The June intensity continues with the Summer Solstice (Sun entering the sign of Cancer) on June 20. Three close (less than 1 degree orb) totally unrelated squares dominate the chart: Mercury in Cancer square Saturn in Libra highlights our personal interaction with outer world responsibilities; Jupiter in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces outlines how the growth of the higher aspect of society enables a spiritual component to world affairs; and Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn challenges a total, unexpected transformation to the world. These squares are primarily made up of non-personal planets, and so may be embodied by issues in the outer, less than personal world. As such, we may feel overwhelmed by many issues demanding our attention. However, we still need to put our personal issues ahead of non-personal ones. This is not the time for self-sacrifice, but a contribution to the tipping point, as described in the story of the Hundredth Human, by Cris Fenwick.

This New Moon is special because it lands on the 29 degree that astrologers consider anaretic.  According to astrologers, the last degree of a sign is a ‘karmic’ degree and represents the culmination of the signs energy.  In this case, the lesson involves the sign of Gemini which involves communication, how we learn, and how we make use of the knowledge we acquire.  In addition, since this is the 2^nd New Moon in Gemini we are granted a second chance to go back to the past and correct anything we may have missed at the solar eclipse.   Once again the New Moon aspects the planet Neptune, yet this aspect is a favorable aspect rather than an unfavorable one.  Rather than our seeking externals to make us feel better about ourselves we can use the aspect in a creative way by tapping into our own spiritual core. 

Let us not forget the Venus retrograde cycle. Speaking about the Venus Transit, astrologer Roxana Muise writes about the retrograde shadow as the “subsycle”, because Venus and Mercury Transits are inferior conjunctions, they always occur when the planet is retrograde. Being retrograde, it is in the second section of the three times they travel over one section of the zodiac. I call the subcycle the retrograde shadow. The retrograde shadow normally begins with a planet passing the degree at which it will turn direct. When the planet turns retrograde it travels through that section of the zodiac in retrograde motion. When it turns direct it again travels over the same section of the zodiac for the third time”. This means that there is tendency for us to need to go over the issues again that occurred when Venus went retrograde on May 16^th – and June 28^th when Venus goes direct.  “When the inner planet makes a Transit (that is at the same longitude and the same declination passing in front of the Sun) it is at the midpoint of the shadow cycle. Most astrologers recognize a midpoint as a very powerful position. This may give you more perspective about an inner planet Transit. It is also referred to as an occultation, which is also the definition of an eclipse. This Venus Transit is part of the process of conscious-raising, and could be called the midpoint of the 2012 shift”

It is important to fill out your New Moon Abundance Checks this month, with  Venus going direct on June 28^th and will start to bring out into the open better social connections. Venus represents love, desire, how and what we want in life. And starting on the 28th of June we can heal the issues, people and situations when Venus started to be retrograde on May 16th.

Transit of Venus: Embracing the “Solar Feminine” 

June 5th and 6th 2012

     Venus and the Sun form a conjunction, called a transit of Venus. Venus and the Sun align about once a year -- though this one is different due to the fact that Venus will not pass above or below the Sun but rather directly cross its path. This is called a transit of Venus. This transit is considered one of the most rare predictable astronomical events, transits of Venus arrive in pairs separated by eight years; the pairs themselves are divided by more than a century.

     We most recently experienced a transit of Venus on June 8th 2004. The June 5th transit of Venus may be related to something that you experienced or a phase of your life that began eight years ago. The world will not experience another transit of Venus until 2117, 105 years from now.

     This transit of Venus is extra special because of a number of other astrological events. We have the strongest influence in over a generation with Uranus square Pluto on June 24. There is the June 4 Lunar Eclipse just a day before, and Venus is retrograde conjunct minor planet Chaos, and square Mars.

How the Transit of Venus Affects Us

     The influence of Sun conjunct Venus usually make us charismatic, charming, and lovers not fighters but with Venus Retrograde  our love lives enter a fated period where we may relive past life experiences in order to sort out karmic issues. Old friends or lovers may reappear and there may be more difficulty in giving and receiving love and affection.

     With Venus and Sun square Mars will create anger and resentment, we won’t put up with any more crap in our relationships. There will also be a tendency for our love nature to be intensified by the Sun. We will be much more in need of love and affection, and also wanting to express love to those close to us, who we most care about.

What you observe to be true, or aspire to, matters entirely.”The transit of Venus presents us with a compelling metaphor and also a moment of transition. It is a time where we can look within and make a conscious choice to form a more conscious inner reunion a between the masculine and feminine elements of ourselves. It is important to understand that awareness to involve the balancing of male and female energies.

     Venus is a feminine symbol and the Sun a masculine one. When Venus intersects with the disk of the Sun, it's a little like the Sun is being penetrated by potent feminine energy. Both will change in the process. The astrologer Adam Gainsburg (Soulsign.com) has described this as the emergence of what he calls the solar feminine.

     With the transit of Venus, Gainsburg said, "What becomes illuminated is how your feminine aspect self-radiates into the world -- what you uniquely have to give to the improvement of our planet. The solar feminine is, literally, our 'light body'. She's the one inside each of us who leaves nothing uncovered, nothing unfelt. We experience the full range of our actual feelings as her body." Yet the Sun is expressive, so this is about being moved to take creative action.

     "The Solar feminine is a confrontational idea for many religions because her very existence fundamentally challenges the fragmentary, long-held assumption of masculine spiritual superiority. By re-acknowledging her, we begin to re-empower her. The solar feminine shines not just through the success and expression of women, but through the power of a man's emotions received in his heart." Adam Gainburg may be describing is a process of men becoming more receptive to their feeling nature and women becoming more expressive and actively involved in changing the world.

New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Gemini

Let us be aware that the Sun will enter Gemini at 8:16 am on May 20th and then there will be a annual Solar Eclipse on Sunday May 20 at 4:47pm PDT and 7:47pm EDT in 1 degrees of Gemini.  All Solar eclipses are intense and powered New Moons, releasing new creative and spiritual energies. The effects of solar eclipse tend to last 6 months to a year after the actual eclipse. In your birth chart, you may feel the eclipse's effects most intensely in the house that's ruled by Gemini for this solar eclipse. This Solar Eclipse at 1 degree of Gemini will strongly influence people who have any planets (especially the Sun, Moon or the angle of your birth chart) between 26 degrees of Taurus and 4 degrees of Gemini or between 26 degrees of Scorpio and 4 degrees of Sagittarius.  This is a very powerful time of change for the entire world and especially the areas on the earth that the eclipse shadow passes over especially Tokyo, Japan and Western California 

The Eclipse begins at 4:30pm and lasts until about 7pm and will be a South Node Eclipse, having to do with our past. The Sun and Moon are within 2 degrees of the Pleiades constellation which serves as a linking back with our ancient ancestral memories of our starry ancestral origins. Eclipses have a Uranus quality - expect sudden changes, unpredictable events, moments of fated or karmic events. People may overreact, are overly emotional, tense, and are often controlling because of feelings of powerlessness with the Solar Eclipses. Eclipses can also bring important contacts into your life or take people out of your life that are not good for you.

When there is a New Moon this means the Moon is in a waxing phase of her cycles and this is usually the best time to start new projects but with Venus retrograde it is best to rethink our values in relationships and financial matters. This is not the time to introduce new products, start new companies, or even start new relationships. It is fine to improve and review our existing projects and ideas with Venus retrograde in Gemini. This is a good time to refinance a loan or shop for antiques. In the area of relationships, an old lover or friend may show up. It’s also common for separations and divorces to be announced during Venus retrograde. The Venus in retrograde started  May 15^th  and continues until June 27^th  so it is a beneficial time to rethink what we value about ourselves and oin our lives.
