On Sunday Jan 23 night Pacific Time or Monday 24 morning on the east coast, there will the first New Moon of 2012 .

With Sun in Aquarius, it's a great time to discover and share your unique talents for the greater good of humanity. It’s also favorable to connect with friends and support your favorite social groups.

On a personal level Mars retrogrades on Monday, January 23^rd. This cycle will last all the way through April 13^th when Mars goes direct. It will still be in its shadow until June 22.  It will be in the retrograde cycle for 5 months. We need to be patient with ourselves and take the time to re-evaluate our goals and plans. This is also a good time to deal with feelings of anger, frustration and resentments that we’ve been holding inside. It is possible during Mars retrograde, past grudges will surface and we’ll need to address them. Let’s avoid sweating the small stuff. In business and regarding our health, it would be better to consider how we can improve these areas of our lives. Some helpful techniques are yoga, meditation and non-violent communication.

The mutable signs Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces will be faced with the most challenges in relation to self–esteem and workaholism. The Earth Signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn will find Mars Retrograde a good time to get things accomplished.

27th- 29(Weekend): Moon in Aries. Very changeable and independent weekend.  Expect the Unexpected.

30 (Monday): Moon in Taurus slows down people’s energies and they’ll find it hard to settle down to work with first Quarter square. Good Time to get grounded with your new ideas.

Feb 1- 2(Wed):  With Moon in Gemini, there’s a tendency for scattered energies. The Second is Candlemas and Groundhog Day. This day has flowing aspects for a fun night on the town with someone special.

Feb 3th-5^th:  The energies are building up for the full Moon on Tuesday. 

Feb 6- 7: Full Moon. There may be drama and romance at work or with friends because of the Full Moon. Saturn is going into Retrograde. Time for reflection on your career goals.

Feb 8-9 (Wed & Thurs):  Moon in Virgo with Mars Retrograde.  Possible difficulty at work with people behaving critically . Good time for organizing and analyzing your projects.
