More May Moonwise Musings

 May Moonwise Musings

For Better Timing

in Your Business and Personal life

Life is about cycles. I use the Astrological cycles to have better timing in my life.
I am fascinated with the Moon, her cycles and mythology. It is important to be aware of the waxing and waning cycles of the Moon

The Moon is in her waning last Quarter phase. On Saturday May 12 at 2:47 pm Pacific Time, the Sun and Moon will be in a 90 degree square aspect.  I call this “the between time” before the New Moon on May 20. This last Quarter square is a philosophical and spiritual time to be reflective and let go of what is troubling us. We are still being influence by Mars being still opposite Neptune and now also opposite Chiron (the wounded healer) through mid-May. We need to take care of our health and not become to over-enthusiastic with the sunny weather and work or party excessively.

On May 13th, we get a cycle associated with expansion and growth. This is the Sun conjunct Jupiter. It is important to take advantage of this cycle and start new projects before May 12th, when we have the last Quarter Moon and before Venus retrograde on May 15 for good financial results. There are successful days from May 8th through May 14th

Also Mercury enters the sign of Taurus on May 9th. Until the May 11th,  we have the  opportunity for practical, productive and creative ideas with Mercury sextile Neptune aspect. It might also be a time that we daydream and forget to take care of details. Let’s stay grounded and pay attention to those details.

Sunday, May 13th is Mother’s Day, so let’s all be generous and nurturing.

On that day, I will be at the Fremont Market on Sunday May 13th from 10 am – 5pm doing astrology, tarot and numerology readings and sharing my greeting cards and poetry books. I may even read some of my poems. If you visit me there and mention my blog, I’ll offer you a $5 discount on a personal reading of your choice (Astrology, Tarot or Numerology) Hope to see some of you there.

I would also like to give a heads-up to my new acupuncturist David Smart at Dragonfly Holistic Healing Center in Fremont.   http://www.dragonflyholistichealing.com/  He does Community Acupuncture with reasonable rates.

At this same location as David Smart, I also see Dr Mo for chiropractic who has just started working there recently. He has unlimited rates for $67 per month. Check it out at his site. http://www.anevolutioninchiropractic.com

BTW, I wanted to say thanks to Silvia Wilson, who has been helping with this blog. Be sure to visit her blogs It's So Green, Silvia Culture and I View Films

May Moonwise Musings

Life is about cycles. I use the astrological cycles to have better timing in my life.
I am fascinated with the Moon, her cycles and mythology. I have written many poems that have symbolism.

May will be a powerful month astrologically especially between May 1 and May 8th. This will be the best time to start new projects. This weekend, there will be a FULL MOON, starting on Friday, the 4th until Saturday, the 5th at 8:35 pm Pacific Time and 11:35 pm Eastern time. It  will be a powerful time to do full moon rituals, meditate, or be involved creatively. On Sunday, the 6th, during the day,  it would be best to take it easy during the day because the Moon will be void of course. (The Moon will not be making any major aspects to the planets that day) At 6:36 pm the Moon will go into Sagittarius. Then it will be the best time to go out for dinner, socializing and having philosophical conversations.

May will be a romantically active month with Venus entering Gemini on April 3rd, and remains in this social sign until early August 2012. It is important to know that Venus will go retrograde beginning on May 15th, 24 degrees of Gemini. And Venus turns Direct at 7 degrees Gemini on June 27th. These degrees, give or take 3 degrees, are significant. If you have any planets in your Natal Chart at those degrees (especially Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces)  – the Venus Retrograde cycle  will be highly active for you. During a retrograde phase, we journey inwards to reflect, revise and review. With Venus retrograde we will be reflecting on our current and possibly past relationships. With Venus in Gemini, we may want to talk and work out any of the difficulties we have been having in our relationships. This will help us to keep an objective point of view and learn to see others’ points of view. Perhaps under the Venus retrograde we can enjoy Gemini’s tone which is airy, light and curious to relationship possibilities. Venus in Gemini, with the symbolism of the twins, there is a search for the significant “Other” half that is a loving and empowering partner in our personal or business life. It is also important to take a look at our financial matters as well as our ability to draw in opportunities to increase our prosperity consciousness

It is important to be aware that until mid-May, Mars continues to be in opposition to Neptune. We may still be experiencing confusion about what to do next. We may even be deceiving ourselves about something very important, or someone else may be deceiving us. Mars opposite Neptune is also associated with taking deceptive actions. So take care of yourself, get enough rest and relaxation, eat healthy foods and exercise to stay grounded and centered. Keep in mind that the most ideal expression of this cycle is taking spiritually-motivated or inspired actions.

I will be doing readings on at the first Friday art Walk in Fremont on May 4th at 6pm at:

April Moonwise Musings

For Better Timing

in Your Business and Personal life

We are out of the Mercury Retrograde since April 4, so it is the best time to open our intuitive minds and be more aware of our dreams. This will bring insights and make us ready for new ideas on April 24th when Mercury is out of its Shadow and ready for action in 7 degrees of Aries.

It is best to wait until the next New Moon on April 21st for new starts when Mars and Mercury will be Direct. If you are patient and wait you will have far fewer delays and a much easier time of accomplishing what you want to do and  will be a lot clearer on what to do and how to do it.

Next, there’s a cycle that starts on April 8th, in which there are a lot of additional responsibilities that need to be handled like our tax returns. This cycle is Sun opposite Saturn and it peaks on April 15th and stays in range through April 20th.  It is important to get in touch with Saturn’s organizing energies for all your mundane tasks and not get overwhelmed with this challenging cycle of Sun opposite Saturn.

We are slowly coming out of a challenging time with Mars Retrograde. Especially because Mars was retrograde in Virgo since January 24, there have been challenging aspects to Neptune, in particular issues with regard to our health and work. This aspect will be in orb until the end of April. Therefore, it is important to stay grounded and avoid overworking yourself.

Let’s not forget that Mars will be Retrograde until April 14th. During this time, we’re strongly encouraged to take time out to reconsider what direction we want to take during the next two years. With Jupiter changing signs in June, this will give us new opportunities to travel, learn something new and share our ideas/products with the world. It’s an important time to let go of old resentments with co-workers, friends, family or partners. When we free up these energies that have been blocking our paths, we will see more new opportunities in the Spring and Summer months.

I had a fun Full Moon weekend with the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra. I felt restless and was glad to have a concert to go on Saturday when the Moon was in Scorpio. The concert was at Om Culture with The GuruGanesha Band and the amazing Gina Salá performed for a magical evening of joyful chanting and world music.

Here's a video of The Guru Ganesha Band that I recorded.

The Full Moon on April 6th with Mars opposite Neptune, brought about some confusion regarding goals for the future and a lack of energy. Take note that your immune system may be weak and unable to resist illnesses if you don’t take care of yourself. This aspect can also indicate deception or confusion in relationships. It would have been best to check your facts and look at the fine print when dealing with business partnerships and with intimate relationships. Trust your intuition, but also double check communications with texting and e-mails.
